  39/ Transport Minister discusses demands of Amman-Damascus route drivers

Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra) – Minister of Transport, Wissam Tahhtamouni, discussed on Tuesday demands and challenges facing drivers on the Amman-Damascus route.

The minister held a meeting with drivers operating on that route and was attended by Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC), Alaa Shubeilat. The meeting is part of a series of discussions held by the ministry to organize the transport sector and develop effective solutions to its challenges, serving the interests of both operators and citizens in line with prevailing regulations and instructions.

Tahtamouni emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue with sector workers to understand their needs and address their problems in compliance with legal guidelines. She underscored the ministry's commitment to balancing the interests of operators while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to citizens.

During the meeting, the minister listened to the key demands and challenges facing drivers on the Amman-Damascus route, including issues related to regulatory procedures.

The drivers praised the ministry's positive initiative in organizing this meeting, expressing hope that these efforts will enhance the sector's efficiency and improve the work environment for the benefit of all.
