Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra) – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that over 1,500 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip within two days, according to its official website.

OCHA stated that on the second day of the ceasefire, 915 trucks carrying essential aid, including food, medicine, clothing, and medical relief supplies, entered Gaza. On the first day, 630 aid trucks were delivered to the region, including 300 to the northern part of the Strip. The population of approximately 2.4 million in Gaza continues to face dire humanitarian conditions.

The first phase of the ceasefire agreement spans 42 days and is expected to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid into the Palestinian territory. The truce stipulates the daily entry of 600 trucks into Gaza.
