26/ Partners-Jordan Chairperson partakes in Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition in Bahrain

Amman, Jan. 20 (Petra) – Chairperson of the Partners-Jordan Organization, Reem Badran, participated in the Global Women Economic Forum and Exhibition, hosted by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society in Manama.

Badran spoke at one of the sessions of the forum, which focused on public-private partnerships. She highlighted Jordan's experience in this regard, particularly through joint councils such as the Ministry of Investment and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as projects implemented through partnerships, especially in the water, electricity, and airport sectors.

In a statement on Monday, Badran emphasized the importance of partnerships between the two sectors, particularly in light of Arab countries' shift towards creating broader spaces and priorities for employing citizens in private sector institutions, rather than government entities.

On the sidelines of the forum, Badran held several bilateral meetings, including with the UAE Businesswomen's Council, chaired by Amal Al-Haddabi, to discuss cooperation between the two countries on issues concerning women and increasing their economic participation, as well as strengthening partnerships in medical tourism and education.

She also noted that with support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Global Entrepreneurs Alliance and the "Global Invitation 2025" initiative were launched under the theme "Creative Orange Economy: Innovation for the Future," which will see annual competition for creative projects.

The forum was attended by Jordanian women representing companies, development associations, and the Women’s Committee of the Amman Chamber of Commerce.
