Amman, January 19 (Petra) – Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Ali, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordanian Badia, presided over a meeting on Sunday to advance the leadership preparation program, designed to empower the residents of the Jordanian Badia and enhance their role in community development.

The meeting brought together Minister of Youth Yazan Shdeifat, Director General of the Hashemite Fund Jamal Trad Fayez, and other stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening collaboration between the Fund, the Ministry of Youth, and the Youth Leadership Preparation Center. The goal is to develop and implement initiatives that will equip individuals from the Badia with leadership skills to fulfill their ambitions and contribute to society.

Shdeifat emphasized the Ministry’s dedication to fostering collaboration with the Hashemite Fund, particularly in creating sustainable and targeted training programs. These initiatives, he noted, aim to build the capacity of young people, enhance their participation in public life, and align with the National Youth Strategy and royal directives to develop youth leadership and innovation.

He lauded the Hashemite Fund’s efforts to implement development projects and support youth advancement in the Jordanian Badia, underlining the importance of such partnerships in realizing national goals.

Fayez, Director General of the Fund, highlighted the meeting as a step toward executing the provisions of the memorandum of understanding between the Fund and the Ministry. He explained that these efforts focus on equipping the youth of the Badia with leadership skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to personal and societal development.

He also pointed out that the National Fund Strategy (2025–2030), aligned with the government’s Economic Modernization Vision, prioritizes collaboration with relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Youth, to ensure comprehensive and sustainable development across all regions of the Jordanian Badia.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a technical committee to oversee the implementation of joint programs and projects.
