Northern Jordan Valley, Jan. 18 (Petra) – Two individuals were injured by gunshots on Saturday during a fight in the town of Al-Manshieh in the Northern Jordan Valley district.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said that a quarrel broke out between a group of people in the Al-Manshieh area. Security forces immediately arrived at the scene and fully dispersed the fight. As a result, two people were injured and assisted by Civil Defense personnel and taken to Muath Bin Jabal Hospital. Efforts are underway to apprehend those involved in the incident.

Hospital director, Osama Abu Snaineh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the emergency department received two individuals, aged 56 and 29, who were injured by gunshots.

He added that the older individual sustained two gunshot wounds in both thighs and was transferred to Princess Basma Teaching Hospital. His condition is described as moderate. The second individual was also treated for a gunshot wound to the side and is in moderate condition.
