Amman, Feb. 20 (Petra) -- The Jordan Chamber of Industry convened a strategic meeting with donor organizations supporting sustainability initiatives in the textile and garment sector, aiming to strengthen coordination, unify efforts, and establish sustainability practices as a foundation for growth and competitiveness.

Ihab Qadri, representative of the leather and garment industries at the chamber, emphasized the importance of fostering partnerships between donors and international organizations.

He described the meeting as a pivotal step in aligning efforts toward sustainability goals, particularly in advancing circular economy principles and improving waste management within the sector.

Discussions highlighted the need for a structured strategic plan to guide future projects, enhance the sector’s capacity for sustainable expansion, and develop clear mechanisms for collaboration between donors and local companies.
