5/ Jordan Enhances Humanitarian Aid to Gaza with Pre-Fabricated Homes
Amman, Feb. 19 (Petra) -- In a continued effort to assist Gaza’s residents, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has announced the start of sending pre-fabricated homes to the Strip, in partnership with the Jordanian Armed Forces- Arab Army. This initiative forms part of Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian commitment since the onset of the Gaza crisis, aiming to provide safe shelter for families whose homes and infrastructure have been severely damaged. Under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan maintains a pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian people. The Jordanian humanitarian corridor comprising both land and air bridges remains one of the most effective and rapid means of delivering aid to Gaza. Since the crisis began, Jordan has consistently sent convoys carrying food, medical supplies, and essential relief items. In addition, Jordan has deployed field hospitals to provide vital healthcare services to those injured or ill in the Strip. Hussein Al-Shibli, JHCO Secretary-General, emphasized that this new initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen humanitarian aid to Gaza. The delivery of pre-fabricated homes is intended to provide immediate solutions to the housing crisis and ease the suffering of displaced families. Al-Shibli also noted that the deployment of these homes is just one aspect of a larger, comprehensive plan aimed at further assisting Palestinians, which includes ongoing reconstruction efforts and enhancing vital infrastructure in Gaza. Jordan’s humanitarian work remains a cornerstone of its foreign policy, as the Kingdom continues to lead by example, supporting its Arab neighbors in line with the directives of the Hashemite leadership and the nation’s long-standing tradition of humanitarian aid. //Petra// WH
