  27/ JTB: AI training program eyed tourism sector development

Amman, Feb. 19 (Petra) - Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) on Wednesday concluded a specialized training program, themed: "Artificial Intelligence for Tourism Operators," which was implemented in cooperation with Labiba.ai, an AI company.

The event saw participation of members from Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA), which came within the framework of the JTB's ongoing efforts to develop the Kingdom's tourism sector.

In a statement, the JTB said the two-day program aimed to enhance integration of AI technologies in the tourism field, focusing on "advanced" AI tools in marketing, customer experience, and travel operations management.

Engaging in the activities, a number of JITOA members attended interactive and practical sessions on employing AI developments to improve "efficiency" of their services and provide "innovative" tourism experiences, the statement said.

The sessions also featured interactive presentations on creating virtual agents to provide customized services and practical workshops to develop and implement AI solutions in tourism planning and sales.

Within group presentations, the program showcased developed AI models on the best practices to ensure "sustainable" use of these technologies in the tourism sector.
