Cairo, Feb 18 (Petra) – The Arab League has reiterated its firm rejection of any proposals aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, emphasizing the collective Arab stance on the matter.

The statement came during a meeting between Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi?, who is currently on an official visit to Egypt.

Aboul Gheit urged Croatia to adopt a more supportive stance on the Palestinian cause in the United Nations and other international forums. He stressed that upholding Palestinian rights particularly their right to establish an independent state along the pre-June 4, 1967 borders is the only viable path to achieving lasting peace, security, and stability in the region.

He also called on Croatia to follow the example of European nations that have recently recognized the State of Palestine.
