Amman, Feb. 18 (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II "clearly" echoes Jordanians' conscience on Jordan's "firm and steadfast" positions in defending its higher interests and justice of the Palestinian cause, Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmad Safadi, said.

Safadi stressed that any attempt to question Jordan's positions and institutions are a "red line and unacceptable," vowing "firm" action and zero tolerance in punishing any practices that reflect foreign interference.

Speaking to a meeting with the House's Executive Office on Tuesday, Safadi stressed that His Majesty's position is "firm, affirming Jordan's opposition to any solutions at expense of its interests.

"Interests of Jordan and Jordanians are above all considerations, he said, stating the Kingdom will continue to defend justice of the Palestinian rights and reject proposals to displace Palestinians from their land.

Safadi also valued efforts and sacrifices of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security services.

Meanwhile, heads and representatives of the parliamentary blocs expressed their pride and appreciation for His Majesty's positions, which expressed "firm" stance in defending Jordan and rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.

The MPs stressed importance of internal cohesion to oppose displacement plans and reject any practices that attempt to undermine Jordan's stances.

According to a House statement, he meeting went over a slew of organizational files on the House's work mechanisms and priorities in the next stage, which contributes to strengthening parliamentary efforts, aimed at achieving Jordan's interests and its citizens.
