15/ 'Jordan Source' Hosts Seminar on U.S-Jordan Collaboration in Technology
Amman, Feb. 18 (Petra) – Jordan Source program of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship held a seminar on collaboration between Jordan and the United States in the technology sector, in partnership with the Maryland Tech Council (MTC). The seminar examined the rapid development of Jordan’s technology sector and explored opportunities for companies to leverage the Kingdom’s thriving IT environment, according to a Jordan Source statement. Discussions also focused on market expansion strategies and business growth within the Kingdom’s evolving tech landscape. In opening remarks, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smeirat, highlighted the growth of Jordan’s ICT sector, emphasizing that Jordan Source seeks to foster partnerships between U.S and Jordanian companies, while showcasing the success of existing collaboration. Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States, Dina Kawar, underscored the sector’s potential, while CEO of MTC Kelly Schulz emphasized the role of international cooperation in driving innovation. The seminar featured two panel discussions with technology leaders and experts. The first, "Leveraging Global Talent to Drive Innovation," focused on attracting international expertise, while the second, "Empowering Jordan's Youth through Education," addressed the role of education in advancing the sector. //Petra// AO
