New York, Feb. 17 (Petra) – The United Nations on Monday warned of a rise in the use of excessive force by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, leading to casualties in military operations carried out in Tulkarem and Jenin.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) raised concerns in its daily report, stating that the resort to deadly military tactics during these operations raises serious concerns about the excessive use of force, which exceeds legal standards for law enforcement.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric highlighted the continued attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians and their property across the West Bank, particularly in Nablus Governorate, where settlers attacked residents in several villages and in one instance set fire to a house.
