37/ GPD showcases progress in government e-procurement system, JONEPS
Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra) – The Government Procurement Department (GPD) on Monday delivered a comprehensive presentation on the development stages of the Jordanian e-Procurement System (JONEPS), which has become a key component of the country’s public procurement ecosystem. The presentation, delivered by the department’s Director General Hanadi Nabulsi, was attended by Mahmoud Khleifat, Director General of the Government Tenders Department, representatives from the World Bank, and officials from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. It highlighted recent enhancements to the system aimed at improving efficiency and execution speed in line with the latest technological advancements and global best practices. The session reviewed achievements in upgrading the e-procurement system, emphasizing its role in streamlining purchasing procedures and reinforcing transparency and integrity in procurement operations. Nabulsi noted that JONEPS has significantly reduced the time and effort required for procurement processes, positively impacting government performance.
