Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra) – A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said on Monday that specialized teams from the East Irbid Civil Defense Directorate responded to a report of two individuals trapped under collapsing soil and rocks inside a cave in the Mansoura area of Irbid Governorate (northern Jordan).

Rescue teams worked extensively to free the two individuals from the debris and provided them with first aid. One person suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead, while the other sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. The deceased was transferred to Yarmouk Public Hospital, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
