30/ IPA launches LMS e-training platform with Italian support
Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra) – The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) launched the LMS e-training platform on Monday, supported by an Italian grant, to enhance the quality of training services for public sector employees. During the launch ceremony, Minister of State for Public Sector Development, Kheir Abu Seileek, emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to modernize and enhance the efficiency of the public sector. He highlighted the need to develop diverse and innovative training programs that align with the improvement of services provided to citizens. He also praised the IPA’s efforts in developing programs that enhance the capabilities of public sector employees, focusing on public administration, digital transformation, and youth leadership development, in line with the government’s modernization strategy. IPA Director, Siham Khawaldeh, stated that the e-training platform is part of the institute’s efforts to offer innovative and advanced training services while reinforcing its commitment to digital transformation. This initiative aligns with Jordan’s national digital transformation strategy, which aims to modernize and improve training processes through a comprehensive and integrated platform. She added that the platform offers a holistic training experience, featuring training materials, exams, practical exercises, discussion forums, program and trainer evaluations, and attendance tracking. It also provides interactive tools that support digital learning and flexible training programs to meet the needs of trainees. The platform is built on Moodle, one of the world’s most widely used Learning Management Systems (LMS), known for its flexibility, user-friendliness, interactive learning features, and adaptability.
