17/ QAIA Passenger Traffic Rises by 12.9% in January

Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra) - The Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) recorded 784,992 passengers last month, marking a 12.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the Airport International Group (AIG), QAIA also saw 6,061 aircraft movements, a 5.1 percent rise, while air cargo volume declined by 22.9 percent to 4,940 tons.

Nicolas Deviller, CEO of the AIG, attributed the growth in passenger traffic to regional developments and the impact of the holiday season, which boosted air connectivity and tourism.

He reaffirmed QAIA’s role as Jordan’s main gateway, emphasizing efforts to enhance the travel experience and maintain its reputation as a "flexible and award-winning airport that makes all travelers feel at home."
