3/ Jordan’s Exports to European Union Surge Nearly 46% in First Ten Months of 2025Â
Amman, Dec. 26 (Petra)-- Wa'ed Rabab'ah - Jordan’s national exports to European Union (EU) countries recorded a remarkable growth during the first ten months of the current year, rising by 45.7%, according to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics. Official figures monitored by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) showed that the value of Jordan’s exports to the EU reached approximately JD 520 million during the period, compared with JD 357 million in the same period last year. Italy topped the list of European countries importing Jordanian goods, with exports to the country totaling JD 172 million, up from JD 46 million in the corresponding period last year representing a record increase of 273.9%. On the other hand, Jordan’s imports from EU countries increased by 12.4% over the same period, reaching JD 2.647 billion, compared with JD 2.355 billion in the same period of the previous year. Germany ranked first among European countries exporting goods to Jordan, with imports from Germany amounting to around JD 580 million, up from JD 542 million during the comparable period, an increase of 7%. According to the data, Jordan’s key exports to the EU mainly included garments, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, chemical products, as well as some agricultural products. Meanwhile, the most prominent imports from the EU comprised vehicles, industrial machinery and equipment, pharmaceutical and medical products, chemical materials, electrical machinery and electronics, in addition to food products. //Petra// MF
