46/ Princess Rym Hosts Arab League Chief on Dialogue Session
Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra) – Her Highness Princess Rym Ali, founder of the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), hosted Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Wednesday in an intellectual dialogue with the institute’s students, a number of its alumni, and a select group of diplomatic, political, and media figures, as well as public affairs enthusiasts. During the meeting, Aboul Gheit reviewed key milestones discussed in his books Witness to War and Peace and My Testimony, offering an in-depth analysis of pivotal events in the Arab region, their impact on the current political reality, and the role of joint Arab action in confronting regional and international challenges. Students and alumni raised questions and contributions on a range of issues, including the future of joint Arab action, regional crises, and the role of youth in public life, as well as the relationship between politics and media, and the boundaries of professional responsibility in covering conflicts and major events. The discussion was marked by lively interaction and intellectual depth, in an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect. The event was attended by several ambassadors, diplomats, former officials, journalists, and academics, reinforcing the Jordan Media Institute’s role as an intellectual and academic platform that combines education with practical experience and expertise.
