16/ Yarmouk University, Qatari cultural attaché discuss academic cooperation
Irbid, Dec. 10 (Petra) – Yarmouk University (YU) President, Dr. Malek Alsharairi, and the Qatari Cultural Attaché, Hamad bin Abdullah Sharif, on Wednesday discussed ways to enhance cultural and academic cooperation between the two sides. Talking at the meeting held at the YU's headquarters, Alsharairi emphasized the university's "commitment" to providing an "ideal" campus environment based on sound education, leadership, innovation, and scientific research, which would make it a destination for local, Arab and foreign students. Alsharairi also highlighted the university's vision of expanding its network of academic relations to facilitate student and researcher exchanges and build upon its scientific and research achievements. Alsharairi noted the university prioritizes "the well-being" of its international students and will overcome any difficulties or challenges facing them. pledging support for this group within the framework of the university regulations and guidelines. This effort, he noted, would ensure a YU's "enjoyable and enriching" experience to receive necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to become excellent ambassadors for Yarmouk University in their home countries. In turn, Sharif emphasized the "deep and brotherly" bilateral ties across various fields, commending the university's prestigious academic reputation and the outstanding academic excellence of its Qatari graduates across all degree levels, who have demonstrated their competence in their respective roles. Sharif highlighted the Cultural Attaché's commitment to maintaining "strong" cooperation with the university.
