12/ Nursing Council Explores Training Center for Export-Ready Workforce
Amman, Dec. 10 (Petra) – The Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) and the Government Investments Management Company (GIMC) discussed enhancing cooperation in clinical simulation laboratories and reviewed the council’s experience in developing and operating such facilities. The meeting also explored an initial concept for establishing a national center to train and qualify nursing professionals for employment abroad, said a statement on Wednesday. Secretary-General of the JNC Hani Nawafleh briefed the visiting delegation, led by GIMC CEO Sami Masannat, on the technical and training capabilities provided by the simulation lab and its role in improving the competencies of nursing students and healthcare workers. He noted that the lab is among the largest of its kind in the Kingdom. Nawafleh presented a preliminary vision for creating a national center dedicated to training, qualifying, and marketing nurses and healthcare professionals before they travel overseas. He said the initiative builds on the JNC’s extensive expertise in clinical simulation and constitutes a national priority that would significantly enhance the readiness of health cadres for global employment, strengthening the reputation of Jordanian professionals and positioning the Kingdom as a regional hub for qualified healthcare talent. He emphasized that the project aims to bridge the gap between educational outputs and the requirements of destination countries, ensuring that Jordanian nurses acquire clinical, linguistic, and cultural competencies aligned with modern global labor market standards. The initiative, he added, aligns with directives from HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein, Chair of the JNC, whose continued support focuses on elevating the quality of nursing education and ensuring professional excellence. For his part, Masannat expressed appreciation for the JNC’s efforts and affirmed the GIMC’s readiness to support forms of cooperation that contribute to the success of the proposed national project. During a tour of the simulation lab, he reviewed the advanced technological infrastructure that would underpin the center’s training programs. //Petra// AO
