Irbid, Aug 18 (Petra) – Irbid Chamber of Industry President Hani Abu Hassan met on Monday with Jordan American Business Council (JABC) Chairman Tarek Al-Hasan to discuss ways of expanding cooperation to increase Jordanian manufacturers’ participation in U.S. trade fairs and to facilitate the entry and marketing of Jordanian products in the American market.

The meeting comes in preparation for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides aimed at opening new opportunities for Jordan’s industry in the U.S. market. The talks also covered the possibility of organizing business-to-business meetings with American entrepreneurs and benefiting from the full range of services provided by the JABC.

Abu Hassan said the initiative is part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to support industrialists and open new markets for their products. He noted that the U.S. market presents a major opportunity for Jordanian industries given its size and capacity, adding that the planned memorandum of understanding would boost export prospects and support the national economy.

Al-Hasan said the council is working to remove obstacles to Jordanian products entering the U.S. market and to establish direct channels between business leaders in both countries.

He stressed that the council will continue providing all possible services to strengthen Jordanian industry’s presence in the United States.
