  22/ Army chief, New Zealand delegation talk military cooperation 

Amman, April 20 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Sunday discussed with Commander of the New Zealand Defence Force, Air Marshal Tony Davies, and his accompanying delegation, the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

During the meeting held at General Command of Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, Huneiti and Davies also went over aspects of joint cooperation and coordination, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations to serve interests of the two friendly countries' armed forces.

The two sides were briefed on development and modernization of JAF's weapons, equipment, and missions, which align with nature of the challenges and changes in the region, according to an Army statement.

Meanwhile, Davies underlined the importance of coordination and cooperation with the JAF in military fields, mainly joint training and expertise exchange.

Praising the "strong" bilateral relations, Davies hoped to achieve further cooperation to serve common interests.

New Zealand Defense Attaché in Amman and a number of senior JAF officers attended the meeting.
