Amman, April 18 (Petra) – The Jordan Armed Forces announced on Friday that troops stationed in the northern border region had intercepted an individual attempting to cross illegally from Syria into Jordan.

According to a military spokesperson, the suspect was detained after troops responded in line with established engagement protocols. He has since been handed over to the relevant authorities.

The Armed Forces stressed their continued commitment to securing the Kingdom’s borders and preventing all forms of illegal entry and smuggling, as part of broader efforts to maintain national security and stability.
