Amman, April 17 (Petra) – Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD) , Maj. Gen. Dr. Obaidallah Maaytah, sponsored the annual assessment and honoring ceremony for the winners of the 2024 Excellence Award at the individual and institutional levels.

During the event, held at the PSD's headquarters on Thursday, Maaytah was briefed by the Inspector General on the results of the annual assessment of work areas, based on "institutional" performance indicators.

The results reflected a "tangible" improvement in the level of performance and effectiveness of coordination and integration among the PSD's various units.

Addressing the event, Maaytah conveyed greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the PSD's personnel, congratulating them on the occasions of the 104th anniversary of the PSD's establishment and on Jordanian Flag Day.

Maaytah praised the PSD's sacrifices and national efforts that aim to preserve Jordan's security and stability.

Maaytah also commended efforts of the PSD's commanders and all personnel for "their dedication and sincerity" in performing their duties.

These "outstanding" results reflect the ongoing commitment to developing PSD's institutional performance and enhancing the level of services, in implementation of Royal directives, he pointed out.

Noting importance of advancing system of institutional modernization and development, he said this process would consolidate the PSD's position as a "distinguished" security institution at the local and international levels.

Additionally, he underlined need to invest in human resources, creative ideas, and modern knowledge to achieve security and national goals and protect lives, property, and achievements.

Maaytah stated the awards granted to winners represent "sincere and dedicated" efforts and reflect the "advanced" level of their "professional performance and excellence."

"Honoring should be an incentive for further dedication and sacrifice in serving the Kingdom and its citizens," he said.

Concluding the ceremony, which was attended by a number of senior PSD officers, Maaytah handed over awards to winners.
