53/ Vocational training program launched in Jerash to empower youth
Jerash, April 16 (Petra) The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), in collaboration with Anera and with support from the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund, launched a specialized training program on Wednesday at the Jerash Vocational Training Institute. The program aims to benefit 95 young men and women as part of the 2025-2028 Economic Modernization Vision. Raed Hamad, VTC Assistant Director-General, emphasized the importance of international partnerships in developing training programs and enhancing the skills of youth. The program spans eight months and includes specializations in tourism, hospitality, and information technology, with a focus on hands-on training and life skills development. Participants will receive accredited certificates upon completion. Samar Yasir, Anera's Office Director in Jordan, noted that the project enhances sustainable employment opportunities for youth in Gaza and the West Bank under the "Entrepreneurial Paths to Resilience" initiative. The program includes practical field training and workshops on life skills, communication, and teamwork, aiming to prepare participants for the labor market and increase their chances of establishing stable career paths. //Petra// AF
