48/ Martyr's Memorial marks Flag Day
Amman, April 16 (Petra) The Martyr’s Memorial Museum in Amman, affiliated with the Directorate of Military Media, hosted a national celebration on Wednesday to mark the country’s Flag Day, in cooperation with the "We Are All Jordan Youth Commission," the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD). The event, held in the museum’s courtyard, was part of the kingdom’s broader celebrations honoring the symbolic significance of the Jordanian flag a banner steeped in national and historical meaning, representing the identity of the Jordanian state and the sacrifices of its people. Organizers highlighted that the Martyr’s Memorial stands as a lasting national landmark commemorating the fallen heroes of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army and security services, who gave their lives in defense of the homeland. This imbued the occasion with a special resonance, turning the celebration into a reaffirmation of national values and collective spirit. The event featured musical performances by the Jordan Armed Forces band, delivering patriotic pieces that stirred emotions and evoked pride in the national flag. Children also took part in entertaining activities that fostered a festive, patriotic atmosphere and helped instill an appreciation of national symbols and values. Attendees received Jordanian flags and symbolic gifts commemorating the occasion.
