Amman, April 16 (Petra) – Palestinian Ambassador to Jordan, Attallah Khairy, strongly condemned the terrorist plots devised by several extremist groups in collaboration with criminal elements outside the Kingdom, aimed at destabilizing Jordan and targeting its people, institutions, security agencies, armed forces, and national symbols.

In a statement on Wednesday, Khairy praised the vigilance of Jordan’s security agencies, which he described as "ever-watchful protectors of the homeland and its citizens." He emphasized that their swift and decisive action thwarted the criminal plans of the terrorists, who were captured, defeated, and disgraced.

Khairy reaffirmed that these criminal groups would never succeed in undermining Jordan, thanks to the courage and wisdom of its Hashemite leadership headed by His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II as well as the determination of Jordan’s heroic security forces and the unity of its people.

He stressed that "Jordan’s security is Palestinian security, and vice versa," adding that Jordan’s strength and stability are a source of strength for Palestine and its people.

The ambassador also firmly rejected any attempts to associate these terrorist acts with the Palestinian cause, stressing that such claims are false and offensive. "Palestine must never be used as a pretext by those who seek to harm any Arab state, particularly Jordan, which stands closest to us in every sense," he said.

Khairy commended the exceptional efforts of Jordanian security agencies, which successfully dismantled the terror networks and exposed those financing and arming them.

He concluded by reaffirming the solidarity of the Palestinian leadership and people with Jordan in all circumstances, emphasizing Palestine’s unwavering support for Jordan’s stability and its historic role as a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian cause and rights.
