39/ Youth Minister: National flag embodies dignity, glory, unity
Amman, April 16 (Petra) – Minister of Youth, Yazan Shdeifat, affirmed that the Jordanian flag symbolizes dignity and glory and reflects the pride and historic legacy of the Hashemite Kingdom since its foundation. Speaking during a celebration organized on Wednesday by the Jabal Auf Cultural Forum to mark Jordan’s Flag Day, Shdeifat said that the nationwide festivities demonstrate the deep sense of belonging and sincere love Jordanians have for their homeland. He emphasized that the symbolism of Flag Day represents the unity of the Jordanian people and their collective rallying around the national emblem. Adnan Maqtash, the Forum’s honorary president, echoed the sentiment, noting that the celebration highlights the significance of the Jordanian flag as a unifying national symbol. "It carries the dreams of the future, the hopes of the nation, and tells the stories of valor and resilience across generations," he stated. The event, attended by prominent figures in Ajloun, featured a national musical operetta and the patriotic song "Dumt Lil-Majd" (Long Live Glory). Earlier in the day, Shdeifat also participated in a celebration hosted by the Ajloun Youth Directorate and youth centers, which included a scout march, flag-raising ceremonies, and decorating buildings with the national flag. Shdeifat praised Jordan’s youth for their active role in commemorating Flag Day, noting that the occasion also serves as a reminder of the Royal commitment to empowering young people and placing them at the heart of national priorities. //Petra// AF
