Amman, April 16 (Petra) -- The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday expressed the country's full solidarity with Jordan, affirming its unwavering support for Jordan in addressing any attempts to compromise its security and stability.

In a strongly worded statement, the ministry condemned efforts to undermine Jordan's security and stability as a grave threat to societal peace and a clear violation of national sovereignty and international law.

The ministry underscored that Jordan’s stability is a cornerstone of regional security and prosperity, reiterating Iraq’s steadfast stance in supporting Jordan amid current challenges.

It also affirmed Iraq’s commitment to bolstering cooperation with Jordan and to joint efforts aimed at safeguarding regional security, in line with the principles of the United Nations Charter and international legitimacy.

The statement concluded by asserting that Jordan’s security is inseparable from the region’s security, urging the international community to take firm and effective measures to counter any attempts to undermine the Kingdom’s stability.
