Amman, April 15 (Petra) – Economic figures condemned the criminal schemes aimed at undermining the security of the nation, praising the efforts of the General Intelligence Department (GID) and all security agencies in safeguarding the nation's security and stability.

President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, expressed the Jordanian industrial sector's condemnation of attempts to target the kingdom's security, commending the GID's efforts in thwarting these plots.

Jaghbir said such criminal attempts aim to destabilize the nation and disrupt the development momentum, the fruits of which are becoming visible at all levels. He urged all industrial sector institutions and their employees to stand united behind the Hashemite leadership and security agencies, contributing to maintaining stability, which is the cornerstone of growth and investment. He emphasized that investment cannot thrive without security and stability, and Jordan cannot assist its brothers without political and security stability.

For its part, the Eastern Amman Industrial Investors Association praised the heroic efforts of the GID in preserving the nation's security and stability, culminating in the thwarting of plots intended to undermine national security and sow chaos and destruction within the kingdom.

Eyad Abu Haltam, the head of the association, stated that the GID's precise intelligence follow-up since 2021, resulting in the arrest of 16 individuals involved in highly dangerous activities, is clear evidence of the high competence of Jordan’s security institutions and their ability to confront any threats to Jordan's security.

He added that the industrial sector fully supports all state efforts to counter any threat to Jordan, believing that security is the true foundation for any stable economic and developmental environment.

Abu Haltam affirmed that the Jordanian people, in all their components, stand united behind the Hashemite leadership and security agencies and that these futile attempts will only increase their cohesion and determination to protect the beloved homeland.

The Jordanian-European Business Association (JEBA) also expressed its deep appreciation for the exceptional efforts of the GID in safeguarding the nation’s security and stability, with the latest success being the thwarting of plots aimed at destabilizing national security and inciting chaos and destruction within the kingdom.

Ali Murad, the head of the association, stated that the GID's precise intelligence follow-up since 2021, leading to the arrest of 16 individuals involved in these plots, reflects the professionalism and high efficiency of the kingdom's security agencies.

Murad added that the revealed cases involved the manufacturing of local and imported missiles, possession of explosives and firearms, concealing a missile ready for use, plans for drone production, as well as the recruitment and training of operatives inside and outside the kingdom. He emphasized the magnitude of the threats facing the country, underlining the importance of supporting the security agencies in fulfilling their national duties.

He stressed that the association stands united with state institutions in confronting anyone who attempts to tamper with the nation’s security or threaten citizens' safety. Murad expressed full confidence in the Jordanian judiciary and the justice process and called on God to protect Jordan and its wise Hashemite leadership and to continue to bless the kingdom with security and stability.

The General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions also praised the GID's extensive efforts in safeguarding the nation and its citizens, commending its close monitoring of plots to undermine Jordan's security and stability since 2021 and its ability to thwart them and arrest those involved.

In a statement, the union emphasized that Jordan's security is a red line that should not be tampered with and that all futile attempts will fail in the face of the vigilance of security agencies, the awareness of Jordanians, their unwavering support for their Hashemite leadership, and their commitment to national unity and principles to preserve the Jordanian state.

The federation expressed its deep appreciation and pride in the efforts of the GID's Knights of Wright, affirming that the security services have consistently proven to be worthy of the trust of the Jordanian people and His Majesty the King.

The General Trade Union for Public Services, Free Vocations, and Communication and Information Technology condemned the failed attempts targeting Jordan's security and stability. At the same time, it praised the GID's capabilities in uncovering and monitoring these plots since 2021.

Union President Khaled Abu Marjoub, in a statement, strongly condemned these schemes aimed at undermining national security, which included projects to manufacture drones and missiles, assemble firearms and explosives, and recruit individuals inside and outside the country. He emphasized that Jordan is resilient against such attempts, thanks to the professionalism of its security agencies.

Abu Marjoub stressed that Jordan's security is above all considerations, and that all malicious objectives aimed at harming the nation's security and stability will ultimately fail. He praised the vigilance of the security agencies and the support of Jordanians for their Hashemite leadership, their national unity, and their commitment to preserving the Jordanian state.

He pointed out that the union and all the workers it represents across various sectors and economic activities stand behind the banner of the nation in such circumstances, renewing their loyalty to His Majesty King Abdullah II and their commitment to national unity.
