Amman, April 15 (Petra) – Jordanian political parties strongly denounced on Tuesday the recently thwarted criminal plots aimed at destabilizing the Kingdom, praising the role of Jordan’s security forces, especially the General Intelligence Department (GID), in safeguarding national security and stability.

The Islamic National Party expressed deep outrage at the "painful reality" caused by "criminal hands that have abandoned their humanity," describing the perpetrators as rogue actors who distort religion to spread fear and destruction. "These are not people of faith, nation, or conscience," the party declared. "They are cells of darkness, shedding blood, sowing hatred, and threatening national stability in pursuit of power and a delusional caliphate."

In its statement, the party affirmed that Islam is a religion of mercy and justice not murder and treachery and underscored the sanctity of Jordan as a homeland of dignity and peaceful coexistence. The party urged the public to fortify internal unity, combat extremist ideologies, and support the armed forces and intelligence services as guardians of the nation.

The Blessed Land Party also praised the dedication of Jordanian security forces, especially the GID, for foiling terrorist schemes meant to incite chaos. It reiterated full support for efforts to protect national sovereignty and endorsed the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in countering threats. The party called on all Jordanians to stand united and reinforce national unity to deter future acts of sabotage.

Similarly, the Jordanian National Union Party commended the GID for a "landmark national security achievement," having tracked the plotters since 2021. In its statement, the party condemned the actions as "traitorous" and demanded severe penalties for the perpetrators, labeling their betrayal tantamount to high treason. It urged heightened vigilance, tighter controls on suspicious activities, and a firm crackdown on extremism and those who promote it.

The Jordanian Qudwah Party lauded the GID’s precision in uncovering a plot involving individuals with external affiliations. It expressed pride in the security forces’ unwavering defense of the homeland and called for "iron-fisted" action against all conspirators, whether domestic or foreign-supported.

The National Charter Party offered a powerful message: "Jordan is not a playground for death cults, nor a soft target for cowardly acts of terror." Denouncing the foiled plots as "acts of high treason," the party emphasized that betrayal of one’s country is a moral and patriotic disgrace. "We stand unapologetically behind the King, the army, and our brave intelligence forces. Neutrality in times of national danger is betrayal."

It called on the state to purge such elements without leniency, declaring that those who conspire against Jordan "are tools of sabotage operated by vile foreign agendas." The party concluded with confidence in Jordan’s strength, unified under its leadership and national flag.

Finally, the New Approach Party reiterated its loyalty to the Hashemite leadership and Jordan’s security services. The party emphasized the importance of this moment as a call for national cohesion and solidarity, urging security agencies and the armed forces to continue taking decisive action against anyone who dares to jeopardize the nation’s safety.
