Amman, April 15 (Petra) Minister of Social Development and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment Wafa Bani Mustafa, met on Tuesday with her Lebanese counterpart, Minister of Social Affairs Haneen El Sayed, on the sidelines of the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development 2025, currently being held in Beirut over three days.

During the meeting, Bani Mustafa discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, exchange expertise, and review shared experiences in delivering services to target groups under the ministry’s programs. She also highlighted Jordan’s achievements in implementing the National Social Protection Strategy and its key pillars, as well as national efforts to launch the updated strategy next month.

She reviewed the ministry’s programs and services aimed at supporting people with disabilities, orphans, individuals without family support, and the elderly. Bani Mustafa also emphasized the ministry’s role in promoting productivity among low-income families to improve their economic conditions.

For her part, El Sayed underscored the importance of exchanging experiences and enhancing collaboration in the field of social services.
