Washington, April 15 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Jafar Hassan received a phone call from Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Tuesday to discuss the "strong" relations between Jordan and Lebanon.

Salam expressed Lebanon's full solidarity with Jordan in addressing threats to its security and stability, saying Lebanon would collaborate with Jordanian authorities in tackling potential risks facing both nations.

In response, Hassan highlighted that the attempted operation thwarted by the General Intelligence Department (GID) and Jordanian security services underscores Jordan's strength and resilience.

He said Jordan is committed to continue supporting its brothers in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
