Amman, April 14 (Petra) Specialized firefighting teams from the Civil Defense Directorates of Balqa and Madaba responded to two separate fires that broke out in three warehouses in the industrial zones of Balqa, Qastal, and Madaba, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson.

In the first incident, firefighting units in Madaba, supported by civil defense teams from East, West, and Central Amman, as well as reinforcements from the Capital and Central regions, the Desert Highway unit, Gendarmerie Forces, Badia Police, and the Traffic Institute, tackled a blaze in a warehouse storing raw materials used for insulation manufacturing. The fire, which spread across 1,500 square meters, was brought under control without reaching nearby structures.

The second fire, in Balqa, involved two warehouses containing tires and bicycles. Fire crews managed to extinguish the flames with high efficiency and prevented the fire from spreading beyond an area of approximately 400 square meters out of a total space of 2,000 square meters.

The spokesperson said the teams made substantial efforts to fully extinguish both fires. No injuries were reported, and an investigation has been launched to determine the causes.
