Mafraq, April 14 (Petra) – HH Princess Dana Firas, President of the Petra National Trust (PNT) and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, visited the Umm Jimal archaeological site on Sunday evening, accompanied by HH Prince Hashem bin Firas.

The visit was part of the production of the documentary film On the Road, directed by Ibrahim Shaheen and produced in collaboration with China’s national television. The film aims to highlight Jordan’s cultural treasures and promote the country as a key destination on the Chinese tourism map.

During the visit, Princess Dana reviewed the municipality’s recent achievements at the site, which was added to the World Heritage Tentative List at the end of July. She expressed appreciation for the efforts made to enhance the site’s preservation and development.

Mayor of Umm Jimal Hassan Ruhaibeh presented an overview of the municipality’s future plans to further develop and protect the archaeological site.
