Amman, April 14 (Petra) – European stock markets climbed on Monday, buoyed by a surge in technology shares following U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to exempt smartphones and computers from new tariffs. According to Bloomberg News, the pan-European STOXX 600 index rose by 2.1%, rebounding after three consecutive weeks of losses, including a decline last Friday. Germany’s trade-sensitive DAX index jumped 2.5%, while France’s CAC 40, Spain’s IBEX 35, and the UK’s FTSE 100 all posted gains between 1.8% and 2.1%.
