Amman, April 14 (Petra) – Istiqlal Hospital, the executive partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), launched on Monday a unique humanitarian initiative to provide cochlear implants for Palestinian children suffering from hearing loss.

The project is funded by KSrelief in collaboration with a Saudi volunteer medical team, with logistical and operational support provided by Istiqlal Hospital, a project reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to bolstering regional humanitarian work and a strong partnership with Jordan in the healthcare field.

It will carry out cochlear implant surgeries under a comprehensive medical plan supervised jointly by Jordanian and Saudi medical professionals to restore hope to children with hearing loss.

The launch ceremony emphasized the generous support and ongoing humanitarian commitment of KSrelief, and the advanced medical infrastructure provided by Istiqlal Hospital, which has mobilized its medical and nursing teams to deliver top-tier care.

Volunteer Saudi doctors will work alongside the hospital’s staff in performing surgeries, in a humanitarian setting that underscores Arab solidarity and cooperation in aiding vulnerable communities.

Speakers at the ceremony praised the hospital’s organizational and technical readiness, noting its vital role in the project’s success. They highlighted the initiative’s significance in improving the lives of the recipient children and enabling them to engage more fully with their surroundings socially and educationally.

The project stands as a model of institutional humanitarian cooperation, reflecting a shared vision focused on aiding those most in need, particularly children, through empowering their potential and supporting their future.
