Amman, April 14 (Petra) – The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has been awarded the ISO/IEC 20000 certification for its Information Technology Service Management System, after meeting stringent international standards related to service quality, efficiency, and ongoing improvement.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry said the certification is granted to institutions that comply with the highest global standards in IT service delivery, with an emphasis on quality assurance, enhancing user experience, and boosting operational effectiveness.
This international accreditation marks the culmination of the ministry’s efforts to enhance Jordan’s digital infrastructure and offer advanced e-government services aligned with global benchmarks.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat stated that this achievement positions Jordan prominently on the regional digital leadership map and underscores the Kingdom's commitment to delivering modern digital services that meet the expectations of citizens and the private sector. He added that the certification serves as global recognition of the quality and reliability of the Kingdom’s government digital services.

The ministry noted that this milestone is part of its broader strategy for comprehensive digital transformation and is aligned with the Economic Modernization Vision. The strategy aims to build public confidence in digital services and reinforce Jordan’s role as a regional hub for the digital economy and innovation.
