  19/ National school debate competition concludes in partnership with CPF

Amman, April 12 (Petra) – The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), concluded the nationwide school debate competition, which saw the participation of 170 schools from across Jordan’s regions over a span of five months.

Speaking on behalf of Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah, Director of Educational Activities Ajmal Twaiqat emphasized the significance of such competitions in intellectually and logically preparing students. He praised the outstanding performance demonstrated throughout the debates.

Twaiqat highlighted the ministry’s plan to institutionalize the school debate program as an annual event, positioning it as a contemporary educational approach aimed at developing critical thinking and promoting respect for differing opinions among students.

He added that the debate program also contributes to shaping future leaders capable of effective communication and rational decision-making, reinforcing values of positive citizenship and social responsibility.

The final rounds took place at Al-Farouq Secondary School for Girls under the supervision of judges from the Jordanian Debates.

- ?? First Place: Sukayna Bint Al-Hussein School (Shoubak Directorate)
- ?? Second Place: Zein Al-Sharaf Secondary School for Girls (Amman - Qasaba Directorate)
- ?? Third Place: Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Secondary School for Girls (Jerash Directorate).
