Amman, October 1 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a phone call with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on Tuesday, reaffirmed the need for immediate and urgent action by the international community to stop the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon.

According to a royal court statement, His Majesty warned of the danger of regional escalation, which could expand the circle of conflict and drag the region and the world towards a full-scale war with disastrous consequences.

The call also covered ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the UK across various sectors.
