23/ Rawashdeh: Al-Arabi Magazine promoted pan-Arab cultural action
Kuwait, November 21 (Petra) - Minister of Culture, Mustafa Rawashdeh, said Kuwaiti Al-Arabi Magazine has been a cultural "beacon" for generations and carried out a "distinguished" cultural action across the Arab world. In his meeting with its editor-in-chief Ibrahim Al-Mulaifi during a visit to the magazine's headquarters Thursday, Rawashdeh praised the magazine's development stages, its "long" history and its presence in memory. Meanwhile, Al-Mulaifi highlighted the magazine's development, its cultural role as an active Arab cultural beacon since its establishment in 1958. The magazine has succeeded in maintaining its position as a "key" cultural publication in the Arab world, by its continuous development to keep pace with the changes of the Arab reader's interets, he pointed out. The magazine, he noted, combined "authenticity and modernity," as it maintained its "distinguished" cultural identity, while providing diverse content on literature, arts, sciences, and social issues. Enhancing the magazine's influence and circulation, Al-Mulaifi stated its updated design and digital content contributed to attracting a new audience of young people. Al-Mulaifi also noted the magazine's continued success depends on developing its content to suit needs of the modern Arab reader, adding that its core vision aimed to promote cultural and intellectual dialogue. //Petra// AG
