39/ World Social Media Forum to kick off in Amman November 28
Amman, Nov. 20 (Petra) - The World Social Media Forum (WSMF) is scheduled to kick off in Amman on November 28, under the theme: " Future of Media in a Digital World First," under the auspices of the Minister of State for Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Momani. The WSMF aims to shed light on the latest trends and challenges in the rapidly developing media and social platforms. In a statement, head of the forum's organizing committee, CEO of Moments Innovation for Events Management Company, Dr. Ayman Irsheid, said the event is a "unique" platform for media leaders, content creators and social media experts to contact and participate in a series of discussion panels and opportunities to exchange ideas on shaping public opinion in developing Arab media to occupy an advanced position globally. Irsheid added that the forum reflects "a future vision for the media industry, as digital transformation has become central to media production and communication with the public." The event, he noted, will go over challenges and opportunities in a world increasingly dependent on digital technologies to encourage media professionals and social media experts to explore "new" strategies to keep pace with this shift and contribute to shaping the future of the digital media landscape. The forum, he said, is the "major" event that discusses "key" topics and brings together over 350 figures from various sectors, primarily media, marketing, public relations, content creators, influencers and celebrities. The WSMF also discusses innovation in digital media, artificial intelligence technologies, content creation, and impact of these technologies in reshaping communication strategies and audience interaction. Furthermore, Peacock Awards ceremony will honor institutions that use social media platforms, as part of their marketing plans, and follow creative methods and innovative content to communicate with the public. //Petra// AG
