Beirut, November 19 (Petra) -- Israeli warplanes killed 3 soldiers in the Lebanese Army on Tuesday after striking a military base in southern Lebanon, according to a statement.

The Lebanese Army told the Petra correspondent in Beirut that search and rescue operations are still ongoing to find more victims.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that, "The Israeli enemy's raid this evening on Sarafand led, in a preliminary toll, to the martyrdom of 3 members of the Lebanese army and the injury of 8, including citizens in the surrounding areas."
