36/ Prime Minister, Polish President talk ties
Amman, November 19 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan received Polish President Andrzej Duda in Amman on Tuesday and discussed enhancing cooperation in economy, diplomacy, culture, tourism, vocational and technical education. Hassan and Duda discussed expanding investment ties between businesses and entrepreneurs in both countries. They discussed leveraging Jordan's free trade agreements, which provide access to global markets, alongside Poland's expertise in industrial and technical fields to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Hassan discussed major projects in Jordan, which offer significant investment opportunities, particularly in the water, transport and infrastructure sectors. The meeting addressed regional developments, including efforts to end the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon and to ensure the continued delivery of urgent aid to Gaza. They underscored the importance of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to enable the continuation of its services for Palestinian refugees as per its UN mandate. //Petra// AK
