Amman, Nov. 19 (Petra) -- Speaker of the Lower House Ahmad Safadi and Senate President Faisal Fayez have reiterated their commitment to ensuring parliamentary oversight supports the implementation of Jordan’s modernization pathways.

In a meeting where Fayez congratulated Safadi on his election as Speaker, they emphasized that the directives outlined in the Speech from the Throne will serve as a strategic roadmap for both parliamentary chambers to achieve national objectives and address the aspirations of Jordanian citizens.

Safadi and Fayez affirmed their dedication to establishing a "strong" foundation for parliamentary practices, rooted in "transparency, responsibility, and accountability." They emphasized that competition in parliamentary work must prioritize programs, ideas, and integrity, always reflecting the Kingdom’s core interests and priorities.

"We are committed to fulfilling our duties with sincerity and responsibility to ensure parliamentary practices align with the nation’s vision and aspirations," they said in a joint statement.
