21/ Ongoing blockade of cooking gas deepens humanitarian crisis in the Strip, says Gaza Municipality
Gaza, Nov. 16 (Petra) The Gaza Municipality has warned of catastrophic consequences due to the ongoing blockade preventing the entry of cooking gas, which has exacerbated the environmental and health crisis and increased the suffering of residents in both Gaza and North Gaza Governorates. The municipality pointed out that the shortage of cooking gas has forced many families to resort to using tree branches for cooking and heating, which has severely impacted the city's vegetation, a vital resource for improving air quality. The municipality called on the international community, as well as humanitarian and environmental organizations, to intervene urgently to provide cooking gas, enhance renewable energy projects, and supply the necessary resources to ensure the continuity of basic services and alleviate the environmental and health damages. //Petra// AF
