Amman, November 16 (Petra) More than 1,000 Jordanian students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States participated in the "2024 Education USA University Fair," which commenced Saturday in Amman. The forum, organized by the U.S. Embassy in Amman over two days, hosts representatives from 30 American universities who are providing comprehensive information about academic programs available to Jordanian students in the United States. This event offers students a unique opportunity to engage directly with representatives from U.S. universities, allowing them to ask questions about admission procedures, academic programs, financial aid options, and student life in the United States. Organized in collaboration with AMIDEAST, the forum aims to empower Jordanian students by equipping them with accurate and valuable information to make informed decisions about their educational futures in the United States. U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Yael Lempert, emphasized the significance of the forum, noting that it reflects the embassy's commitment to offering world-class educational opportunities for Jordanian students through academic institutions and innovative programs in the U.S. She highlighted that the United States has been a preferred educational destination for Jordanian students for over 75 years and expressed her hope that students will take full advantage of these opportunities to achieve their academic and professional aspirations. Echoing these sentiments, Noor Rasheed, Director of AMIDEAST in Jordan, underscored the importance of the forum in supporting Jordanian youth by providing genuine educational opportunities that contribute to nurturing a new generation of Jordanian leaders, thereby paving the way for their academic and professional success. //Petra// AF
