8/ GAM reviews Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation experience
Amman, Dec 22 (Petra) -- The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Sunday took part in a workshop on promoting the culture of excellence using the Problem Driven Interactive Adaptation (PDIA) approach, which was held at the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence. The GAM team, including Investment and Supply Chain CEO Manar Haddadin, gave a presentation on a pilot approach using PDIA in the Solid Waste Management in Jordan (SoWas) project, funded by the German government and the European Union. Haddadin urged spreading the culture of excellence in finding solutions in public institutions to provide better service to the public, adding that the municipality's participation in the workshop is just the beginning in its efforts to disseminate this knowledge among the largest possible number of employees as an effective problem-solving means. PDIA is a step-by-step approach which helps break down a problem into its root causes, identify entry points, search for possible solutions, take action, reflect upon what you have learned, adapt and then act again. It is a dynamic process with tight feedback loops that allows you to build your own solution to your problem that fits your local context. //Petra//SS
