Amman, Dec. 20 (Petra)-- Only 35,000 people performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, because of the Israeli occupation authorities' stringent military restrictions on entry.

Despite Israeli occupation limitations, approximately 35,000 worshipers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), numerous young men were stopped by Israeli occupation police at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing them from entering the building to perform Friday prayer.

The occupying troops have reinforced their controls at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the entrances since October 2023, when Israel began its extensive offensive on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
