Amman, Dec. 18 (Petra) – The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), organized the "Youth and Technology Exhibition."

According to a ministry statement on Wednesday, the exhibition saw the participation of around 60 leading companies in the information and communications technology sector, along with over 150 young men and women, including both Jordanians and refugees.

The event included a "Youth Corner" where innovative projects were showcased, providing participants the opportunity to present their creative ideas and engage with companies, aiming to enhance their career opportunities and connect them with labor market needs.

The Ministry's Secretary-General, Samira Al-Zoubi, stated that the exhibition reflects the ministry's commitment to enhancing the capabilities of youth, who represent the driving force of innovation and change. She emphasized that they are the cornerstone on which a digital future, fulfilling their ambitions, will be built, positioning Jordan as a regional technology hub.

She encouraged the participating youth to seize the opportunity to introduce their talents to companies, which have been developed through training programs provided within the "Youth, Technology, and Jobs" project.

HTU President Ismael Al Hinti highlighted the university's role in supporting youth and preparing them for the labor market. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the academic, governmental, and private sectors in creating job opportunities and providing a supportive environment for youth, especially in the information technology sector.

Michael Dell'Amico, the UNHCR Representative, noted that economic opportunities for youth in Jordan are key to their future, regardless of their background.

The exhibition also featured awareness sessions and workshops focused on topics such as technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and the skills needed to succeed in the digital workplace, enriching the participants' knowledge and enhancing their readiness for the job market.
